Lower Elementary

1st- 3rd grade

Lower Elementary is a prepared, mixed-aged learning space that promotes freedom within limits and provides a positive, nurturing educational experience for all of our 1st- 3rd grade learners. The lower elementary child develops a self-guided plan for daily work cultivating their skills in time management while building self-confidence and empowering them to take ownership of their learning. In the prepared Lower Elementary environment are the areas of Practical Life including Community Care, Mathematics, Language, Science, Cultural Studies, and Peace Education.
